Street-Style Steak Tacos with Salsa Cups
Taqueria-style tacos built on doubled soft tortillas and piled with small, well-seared cubes of lime and garlic marinated steak. Chopped white onion and cilantro keep things bright, while little cups of salsa and a lime wedge let everyone dial up the heat. Serve with a bowl of crunchy tortilla chips.

-
Rub the steak with lime juice, garlic, cumin, 1 tbsp oil and 1 tsp salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes at room temperature.
-
Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat until it just begins to smoke. Sear the steak for 3 to 4 minutes per side until well charred and 130 F inside.
-
Rest the steak for 5 minutes, then cut it against the grain into thin strips and chop those into small cubes. Toss with any juices on the board.
-
Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side until soft and lightly spotted, then stack them in pairs.
-
Fill each pair with steak and top with diced onion and cilantro. Serve with salsa cups, lime wedges and tortilla chips on the side.
