Herb Butter Stuffed Garlic Roll
A soft round roll is cut deeply in a crosshatch, then every crevice is packed with garlic butter, parsley and chives before a return trip to the oven. The top turns crisp and golden while the center soaks up the herby, savory butter. Serve one per person as a warm starter or steak side.

Method 6 steps
-
Preheat the oven to 375 F.
-
Beat the butter with the garlic, parsley, chives, Parmesan and red pepper flakes until well mixed.
-
Using a serrated knife, cut each roll in a crosshatch pattern about three-quarters of the way down, without slicing through the base.
-
Gently open the cuts and spread the herb butter into every crevice, smearing any extra over the top.
-
Wrap the bottoms loosely in foil and bake 12 to 15 minutes, until the top is crisp and the butter has melted into the bread.
-
Scatter a little extra chopped parsley over the plate and serve hot.
Tap a step to mark it done.
