Brown Sugar Glazed Ham with Pineapple Rings
A retro holiday centerpiece that still wins the table: a smoked ham brushed with a brown sugar, mustard and pineapple juice glaze, then decorated with pineapple rings and bright cherries. The edges turn sticky and caramelized while the meat stays juicy and gently sweet.

-
Heat the oven to 325 F. Set the ham cut side down in a roasting pan, add 1 cup water to the pan and cover loosely with foil.
-
Bake for about 1 1/4 hours, until the center reaches 120 F on an instant-read thermometer.
-
Meanwhile simmer 1/2 cup pineapple juice with the brown sugar, mustard, honey and cloves for 5 minutes, until syrupy.
-
Remove the foil and brush the ham generously with glaze. Arrange pineapple rings over the surface and set a cherry in the center of each, securing with toothpicks.
-
Raise the oven to 400 F and bake uncovered for 25 to 35 minutes, basting every 10 minutes, until the glaze is bubbling and deep amber and the ham reaches 140 F.
-
Rest the ham for 15 minutes, remove the toothpicks and carve into slices, spooning pan glaze over the top.
