This compact press makes two generous cups of full-bodied coffee with nothing more than coarse grounds and hot water. The borosilicate glass carafe sits in a polished stainless steel frame with a curved handle and wavy cut-out bands, and the stainless plunger holds a fine mesh filter that keeps grounds out of your cup. Add about 20 g of coarsely ground coffee, pour in water just off the boil, stir, steep for four minutes and press slowly. It also works for loose leaf tea. The plunger unscrews for cleaning, and all parts are dishwasher safe.
